Wrap: WC East tops Henderson; Octorara stays unbeaten (early edition)

WEST CHESTER – Zae Murrey hit for 12 points and Kyle Smith added 10 as West Chester East rode a strong fourth quarter to a 52-44 Ches-Mont League National Division triumph over Henderson Thursday night.
Locked in a 35-35 deadlock heading into the final frame, the Vikings (2-3 league) came out on top with a 17-9 run that featured 4 points each from Reggie Loper and Smith and another three from Murrey and Stephen Phelan (trey).
For the Warriors (0-5), Adrien Piel led all scorers with 17 points, hitting 9 of 13 from the free throw line.

Octorara 61, Rustin 56 – The unbeaten Braves (5-0, 12-0) overcame a 46-42 deficit with a 19-10 surge in the fourth quarter to stay atop the Ches-Mont American as Christian Ray (19 points), Dominick London (15) and Jamonti Mayo (10) all hit for double figures.
For the Golden Knights (2-3), who led 35-28 at the break before wearing down in the second half, Bryce Barrouk cashed in 17 points and Tahjair Rhodes added 14.
