Weekend cross country: Walker, Mulhern set pace at Unionville 2-mile Bash; Great Valley boys win at Abington

EAST MARLBOROUGH  – Unionville junior Cole Walker and West Chester Henderson freshman Jenna Mulhern were the overall winners at the Unionville 2-mile Bash Saturday – a 3,200-meter run that separated runners by school class.

Abington Invitational
The Great Valley boys placed first as a team, led by top 10 finishers Seth Hoffritz (2nd, 17:03), Rahman Mohammed (5th, 17:08), Hayden Coates (7th, 17:26), Riley Casey (8th, 17:31) and Matt Dietrick (9th, 17:38). Other top Patriots finishers included Michael Search (17th, 18:01) and Jonathan Sadanaga (26th, 18:31).
In the girls portion of the meet, Great Valley was fourth overall behind top 10 finishers Amy Willig (3rd, 20:10) and Annalise Porreca (7th, 20:38). Other top finishers for the Patriots were Emily Matthews (14th, 21:32), Leilani Silen (49th, 24:00), Kaya Alber (50th, 24:11) and Cammy Devine (51st, 24:15).
40th Centaur Invitational
Downingtown East had a strong finish at the meet at DeSales University, led by top 30 finishers Russel Winters (8th, 17:20.96), Nick Robinson (10th, 17:27.47), Brendan Flynn (17:46.50) and Jacob Lawson (30th, 18:12.64).
In the girls portion of the meet, the Cougars’ Charlotte Roumpz (14th, 21:19.71), Lara McDowell (23rd, 21:46.34), Corinne Strommer (29th, 22:04.97), Clare Robson (34th, 22:34.17) and Livia Hibshman (52nd, 22:36.18) had solid performances.
