Oswick delivers Downingtown East win; Rustin rolls behind DeMarco, McDonough, King (with boxscores)

Downingtown East 6, Coatesville 3 – David Oswick struck out 14 in six overpowering innings, Zach Burton drove in a pair of runs and Will Vincent was 2-2 with a pair of runs scored for the Cougars in their Ches-Mont League National Division win Thursday. For the Red Raiders, Conner Barthmaier went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs.
 
Rustin 10, Great Valley 6 – The Golden Knights got a combined 9-13 at the plate from Dylan DeMarco (4-5), Pat McDonough (3-4) and Owen King (2-4) in the Ches-Mont American clash. Matt Aleva was 2-2 to pace the Patriots.
Downingtown West 7, Henderson 5 – Kevin Small tossed five innings of scoreless relief for the win and Tommy Eliason (2-4, 3 RBI), Stephen Posner (2-4, 2 runs) and Eric Grintz (home run) were the offensive catalysts for the Whippets in their Ches-Mont National conquest of the Warriors, who wasted strong offensive showings from Billy Hicks (3 hits) and Logan Conduit (2 hits, 2 runs).
 
Oxford 7, Sun Valley 6 – Joey Morton’s third hit – a walk-off RBI-single with one out in the sixth inning, capped a stirring Ches-Mont American comeback win for the Hornets, who trailed by 6-0 in the fourth inning.
Morton, who pitched two scoreless innings of relief for the win, was also back by Jay Morton (single, triple, RBI) and Ryan Santangelo (2 hits, RBI).
 
 
Unionville 8, Kennett 6 – Austin Ahart and Henry Goodier had two hits apiece and Sean Matson picked up three RBI for the Indians, offsetting the two doubles each off the bats of Nick Gustafson and Louis Sharp for Kennett.
