Johnson’s 4 goals propel Downingtown West; Great Valley gets revenge on West Chester East

Downingtown West 9, Bishop Shanahan 1 – Tatum Johnson poured in four goals and added an assist on Romea Riccardo’s opening strike to trigger the Ches-Mont League National Division romp Thursday for the unbeaten Whippets, who also got two goals from Jesse Schlosser.

Great Valley 3, West Chester East 2 – The Patriots exacted revenge for a first-round playoff loss last season behind two goals from Tessa Liberatoscoli, two defensive saves from Elizabeth Dietrich and another goal from Siani Richardson.
The Patriots, who finished with advantages of 15-7 in corners and 16-7 in shots, also got an assist from Maggie Flynn and strong defensive play from Katie Dinsmore, Molly Wolford and Dietrich in front of goalies Ryan Curley (2 saves) and Evelyn Seasholtz (1 save).
Rustin 4, Coatesville 3, OT – Shannon Drakley tipped home a Tina St. Clair shot 36 seconds into OT to lift the Golden Knights, who also got two goals from Skyler Alcaro. Coatesville goalie Sydney Taylor had 27 saves.

Unionville 3, Downingtown East 2, OT – Madison Miles delivered the game-winning strike in OT for the Indians, who also got the game-tying goal from Katie Anderson and another strike from Claire Donovan (Maggie Lawrence assist).
Lizzie Gaebel notched 10 saves while Annie McDonough and Maddie McDonough had strong performances for Unionville.
