Carozza’s 6 goals key West Chester East rally; Wierman gives Henderson third straight OT win

West Chester East 13, Kennett 9 – Joe Carozza cashed in six goals and two assists as the Vikings overcame a 7-6 halftime deficit with a 7-2 edge after the break in recording the Ches-Mont League crossover win Wednesday.
Also for WC East, Jacob Greiner added four goals and one assist, Rocco Grello delivered three assists and goalie Jack McAnally notched 15 saves. Greg Brison and Sam Forte registered hat tricks for the Blue Demons.

West Chester Henderson 6, Unionville 5 OT – Luke Wierman’s second goal with 48 seconds left in the first overtime  delivered another dramatic win for the Warriors, who have now won three straight in overtime.
Ryan McKie finished with 13 saves for Henderson, which also got one goal and one assist from Dan Carnuccio at the head of balanced attack that had five different players cash goals.

West Chester Rustin 23, Sun Valley 3 – The Golden Knights bolted out to a 20-2 halftime lead and were never seriously challenged in their Ches-Mont American romp.
Alex Hutsell, Nick Maddona and Jake Spaniak recorded hat tricks and combined for four assists for Rustin. Spaniak also ruled the faceoff circle with 90 percent (18-20) efficiency.

Grady Meredith, Ty Rodriguez and Ty Wolverton added two goals each for D-West, which got 81 percent efficiency (17-21) in the faceoff circle and eight groundballs from Michael Straub.
For the Patriots, Jackson Campbell was strong in goal with 18 saves while Jack Meyer and Ty Hayes connected for two goals each.
