Zapf’s fall helps Downingtown West hold off Pottstown

DOWNINGTOWN  – Cole Zapf’s pin at 170 helped Downingtown West stem the tide in a 31-30 nonleague wrestling decision over Pottstown Saturday morning.
The Whippets (2-0) had built a 25-3 lead with five straight wins in the lower weight classes, including Joe Rennie’s major at 126 and Alex Murtz’s fall at 132, before the visiting Trojans rallied back by taking 7 of the last 8 bouts to come one point short of the comeback.
