Wrap: Warren’s 24 lead Downingtown West; Oxford tops Henderson behind Cruz (final)

HATBORO – Josh Warren collected 24 points, Ryan Betley netted 15 and Dom Guerrera chipped in with 13 as Downingtown West registered a wire-to-wire 60-49 nonleague triumph over Hatboro-Horsham Saturday night.
The Whippets improved to 7-1 behind a consistent effort that produced leads of 15-11 after one quarter, 29-21 at the break and 42-35 heading into the fourth quarter.

Oxford 68, Henderson 42 – The Hornets raised their slate to 2-3 with the nonleague Ches-Mont crossover victory behind Thomas Cruz (25 points, 6 treys), Shane Quigley (18) and Troy Brown (12). For the Warriors, Adrien Piel posted 21 points with a trio of trifectas.

West Chester East 59, Unionville 54 – The Vikings used a 17-11 run in the fourth quarter to secure the Ches-Mont crossover victory. Milaj Singletary-Thomas (16 points), Zae Murrey (14) and Kyle Smith (11) hit double figures for WC East, offsetting strong offensive showings by the Indians’ Pat Clark (14 points), Austin Fullington (14) and Kyle Goodier (10).

Octorara 80, Warwick 69 – Christian Ray cashed in a career-high 37 points and added 10 rebounds to spark the unbeaten Braves (8-0) to the nonleague victory.  
Jackson Ray also had a double-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for Octorara, which used a 43-29 burst in the middle periods to reverse a 16-11 first-quarter deficit. Also for the Braves, Saaleem Pugh netted 11 points and Jamonti Mayo added 10.

 Coatesville 54, Rustin 40 – Dalton Donovan scored 10 of his game-high 15 points in a pivotal third quarter to lift undefeated Coatesville. Trent Hugan added 10 points and Justus Martinez collected 9 for the Red Raiders (6-0), who expanded a 24-20 halftime lead to 42-31 entering the fourth quarter. For the Golden Knights (1-5), Tajik Asparagus netted 14 points.
