Wrap: Hussey, Hill lead Kennett to Muhlenberg title; Irwin lifts Coatesville

MUHLENBERG – Jess Hussey poured in 22 points and Miranda Hill added 14 to lead Kennett to a 44-34 victory over Muhlenberg in the Muhlenberg Holiday Invitational championship game Tuesday afternoon.
The Blue Demons (9-1), who also got 7 points from Caroline Hertz, took charge from the opening tip, stretching a 13-9 first quarter lead to 26-17 at the break and held on from there.

Coatesville 53, Rustin 37 – The Red Raiders (5-6) used a 24-12 burst in the fourth quarter to notch third place in the West Chester University Christmas Classic.
Dee Dee Irwin collected 15 points and joined the Golden Knights (3-6) Maggie O’Hare (12 points) on the all-tournament team. Sarah Huston added 12 points for the winners.

Downingtown West 52, Upper Darby 22 – Tahnay Boggs (15 points), Hannah Supplee (12) and Gillian Nanni (10) all hit double figures as the Whippets snapped a three-game slide with the resounding win in the consolation game of the Downingtown West Tournament.
