West Chester Henderson sweeps past Methacton

FAIRVIEW VILLAGE – West Chester Henderson swept its season-opening nonleague swimming meet with host Methacton Saturday, the Warriors girls’ winning 102-82 and the boys following suit by prevailing 98-88.

In the girls portion of the meet, Abby Kostic took the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke, Madeline Schaeffer placed first in diving with 237.25 points, Rachel Huzzard captured the 100 butterfly and Erin Marlin won the 500 free for the Warriors.

Brennan Smith touched first in the 200 and 500 free and Jared Fruhwirth took the gold in the 100 breast (1:05.09) to highlight the Henderson victory in the boys competition.
