Valor Bowl Basketball Game raises funds, awareness for Special Olympics

valor_bowl_basketball_croppedThis Thursday area seniors will compete at Downingtown West High School in the inaugural  Chester County Senior All-Star Basketball Game. Entitled The Valor Bowl, the non-profit is committed to raising funds to benefit the Chester County Special Olympics.

The girls game will start at 6 pm, with the boys game to follow.

Working in partnership with the Chester County Special Olympics the participants in the Valor Bowl promote sportsmanship and athletic competition. Through the participation of senior high school players and coaches, this event provides an opportunity to share athletic ability with fellow athletes, while benefiting individuals with mental retardation and closely related developmental disabilities.

The goal of the Chester County Senior All-Star Basketball Game is to become the major source of fundraising for the Chester County Special Olympics, enabling them to continue to provide their athletes with year-round sports training and athletic competitions.
