Smyth, Drakeley, Hadfield key Ches-Mont effort at PhilaFH Senior All-Star game

BRYN MAWR – Downingtown West senior JJ Smyth, a St. Joseph’s University recruit, collected a pair of goals to help Team Liberty post a 5-3 win over Team Freedom Sunday in the 2018 Senior All-Star Game at Bryn Mawr College’s Applebee Field.
Rustin’s Shannon Drakeley also found the back of the cage off an assist from Downingtown West’s Anna Miller while her Golden Knights teammate, goalie Megan Hadfield, picked up six saves.
All told, 11 Ches-Mont League players were selected to play for Team Liberty in the prestigious game including (with position, school and college destination):

The 64 athletes chosen represented 51 teams from 14 of the 15 Philadelphia-Area leagues. Fifty have committed to play field hockey in college – 43 to Division I programs, one to Division II and six to Division III.
