Smolders, Marlin help Henderson swim past Coatesville

WEST CHESTER – West Chester Henderson ran the table on Coatesville Thursday evening in Ches-Mont League swimming action at the West Chester YMCA, the boys recording a 98-72 win and the girls posting a 97-80 verdict.

Dylan Smolders touched first in the 200 IM (2:04.77) and 500 free (5:08.19) to key the Warriors boys, who also got first-place finishes from Noah Carnuccio (50 free, 23.75), Will Merrill (diving, 293.50) and Tie Manuel (100 back, 58.62). For the Red Raiders, Ethan Moore doubled in the 200 free (1:52.12) and 100 free (49.28) while Jacob Vannoy (100 fly, 57.99) and Simon Fox (100 breast, 1:27.00) also notched first-place finishes.

In the girls’ portion of the meet, Henderson’s Courtney Marlin touched first in the 200 IM (2:14.23) and 500 free (5:14.86) with other first-place finishes for the Warriors coming from Lily Horenkamp in diving (258.20) and Krista Marlin in the 100 back (1:00.30).

For the Red Raiders, Lauren DiCamillo and Peyton Wolf were double winners, DiCamillo taking the 200 free (1:59.88) and 100 fly (1:00.52) and Wolf placing first in the 50 free (25.06) and 100 free (54.70). Melanie Bohm also notched a top finish for Coatesville in the 100 breast (1:16.02).
