Smith, Campetti lift Great Valley past Kennett at Wells Fargo Center

PHILADELPHIA – Great Valley made the most of its special trip to the Wells Fargo Center Friday afternoon, posting a 36-30 Ches-Mont League American Division girls’ basketball victory over Kennett.

Ashlyn Smith and Kodi Campetti hit for 10 points apiece for the Patriots (2-0 league, 3-3 overall), who overcame a 17-16 halftime deficit by outscoring the Blue Demons 20-13 in the second half. Great Valley closed things out by hitting 9 of 11 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter.

For Kennett (0-3, 2-5), Miranda Hill collected a game-high 18 points including four three-pointers from NBA range. The game was played without a high school three-point line at the Wells Fargo Center.
