Slay, King help Downingtown East edge Coatesville in OT; Angelo’s 18 lead Shanahan

Downingtown East 55, Coatesville 52, OT– The Cougars (2-1 league, 5-4 overall) overcame a late five-point deficit when Andrew King connected for a game-tying layup with 12 seconds left in regulation, then completed the comeback behind the sharp-shooting of Malik Slay en route to the Ches-Mont League National Division win Tuesday night.
Slay had 6 of his game-high 25 points in the extra session, offsetting a balanced effort by the Raiders (2-2, 7-4) that included 15 points from Dupree Bryant, 12 from Jhamir Brickus and 10 from Chuck Smith.

For the Whippets (2-2, 4-6), Davis Reardon, Greg Barton and Will Howard combined for 32 points.

Also for Unionville, Wyatt Hockenberry hit four triples en route to 12 points and Drew Lenkaitis added 9 – offsetting the double figures posted by Nate Graeff (15 points) and Liam Ward (13) for the Patriots (3-1, 7-4).
