Shanahan’s Weir, Parke headed to Division I level

Bishop Shanahan 2020 defender/midfielder Tara Weir has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Saint Francis University.

Why did you choose Saint Francis? “Saint Francis University has a great community with a strong family feel and the academics are excellent. The coaches, Kara Concheck and Katherine Athens, are extremely positive and welcoming. They are building something at SFU and I want to be a part of it. I watched the team practice and I could see they are a close group and fully support each other athletically and academically.”

HS team’s 2019 outlook: “We have strong Junior and Senior classes with some younger players ready to contribute. Our coach, Kacy Small, is a great leader and has us ready to make a run at the Ches-Mont and further!”
