Rustin states its case over Great Valley; Crews, Bryant, Brickus pace Coatesville

(7) WC Rustin 53, (5) Great Valley 47 – The Golden Knights (17-10) locked up the seventh and final District 1-5A state playoff spot with the victory of their Ches-Mont American rivals Saturday.
Taj Asparagus scored 18 points while Dylan DeMarco and Jake Nelson added 8 apiece for Rustin, which used a 34-18 run in the middle periods to seize a commanding 43-26 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
For the Patriots (17-10), who made things interesting by posting a 21-10 edge in the final frame, Liam Ward led all scorers with 21 points and Nate Graeff chipped in with 15.

(5) Coatesville 74, (6) Pennridge 66 – The state-playoff bound Red Raiders (22-6) earned fifth place in District 1-6A with the playback victory, fueled by Donte Crews and Dupree Bryant with 17 points each and Jhamir Brickus with 16.
Coatesville set the tone early, sprinting out to leads of 21-10 after one quarter and 40-24 at the break as Crews deposited 14 of his 17 points in the first half,
