Rustin clinches first Ches-Mont American title behind Nelson, Mattera; Downingtown West, Great Valley sweep

Rustin 3, Henderson 0 – Emma Nelson posted 19 kills and 9 digs as Rustin clinched the Ches-Mont League American Division girls volleyball title for the first time in program history Tuesday with a hard-earned 25-23, 25-22, 25-21 sweep of crosstown rival Henderson.
Alessia Mattera (13 kills, 12 digs, 6 assists) and Callie McGinnins (29 assists) helped the Golden Knights improve to 10-0 in the American. For the Warriors (11-6 overall), Fiona Pyfer had 17 kills and 9 digs while Hope Dusey added 4 blocks.
 
Downingtown West 3, Oxford 0 – The Whippets rolled 25-17, 25-15, 25-19 behind Aly Reardon (12 kills), Kenzie Pincura (9 kills), Hailey Lewis (4 kills, 3 aces), Brynn Nanni (4 kills, 3 blocks), Nicole Walker (4 kills) and Chloe O’Donnell (17 assists).
Topping the stat charts for the Hornets were Logan Wolfe (4 kills, 2 blocks), Catie Vanwoert (6 kills), Danielle Stackhouse (14 digs, 2 aces) and Madeline Williams (10 assists).
 
Great Valley 3, Avon Grove 0 – Lindsay Gal and Maggie Renehan led the way as the Patriots swept the Red Devils 25-14, 25-23, 25-18 in straight sets.
