Roundup: Powell leads West Chester Rustin past Oxford

WEST CHESTER – Noelle Powell hit for 17 points as West Chester Rustin broke into the win column with a 63-23 romp over Oxford in the Ches-Mont League American Division opener for both teams Thursday night.

For the Hornets, Hannah Bahls finished with 10 points. The victory boosts the Golden Knights to 1-3 overall.

Unionville 53, Kennett 42 – The Indians stayed perfect, capturing the Ches-Mont Amrican opener behind Micayla Flores’ game-high 20 points. Adriana Weber chipped in with 10 points while Lexi Shanahan and Maddie Shanahan added 9 apiece for Unionville (1-0, 3-0).

For the Blue Demons (0-1, 2-2), who were outscored 33-22 in the second half after holding a 20-19 edge at intermission, Miranda Hill finished with 19 points and Aimee Armitage collected 12.
