Roundup: Moore helps West Chester Rustin tie up Neshaminy

WEST CHESTER – Mackenzie Moore connected on a penalty kick for the equalizer late in the 37th minute to help West Chester Rustin secure a 1-1 nonleague girls’ soccer tie with Neshaminy Saturday.

Picking ups six saves in net for the Golden Knights (5-1-1 overall) was Julie Griesemer. Alyssa Tobin (Gabby Farrell assist) scored for the Redskins in the 32nd minute for a shortlived 1-0 lead.

Pennsbury 2, Unionville 0 – The Indians got nine saves from keeper Adriana Weber but it wasn’t enough to prevent the nonleague loss. The unbeaten Falcons (6-0), who recorded their third shutout in four games, got goals from Urche Onuoha and Megan Engeland and assists from Jadyn Peto and Riley Rudd.

Great Valley 2, Marple Newtown 2 – Christina Porreca picked up a pair of goals to help the Patriots post the nonleague tie.

Owen J. Roberts 1, Downingtown West 0 –  The Whippets suffered the nonleague loss when Katie Dempsey converted an assist from Mahogany Willis into the game’s only goal to pace the Wildcats (1-2-1).
