Roundup: Irwin, Coatesville shoot by Oxford; Warfel lifts Downingtown East

Coatesville 56, Oxford 32 – Demetria Irwin bucketed 20 points and six triples to boost the Red Raiders, who also got 12 points from Briana White, 11 from Nafisa Saunders and 4 points and 6 assists from Zada Bookman in the nonleague win Saturday.

For the Hornets, who never recovered after falling behind 19-5 by the end of the first quarter, Hannah Bahls had 15 points and Grace Hennessey chipped in with 8.

Downingtown East 58, Phoenixville 22 – The Cougars (12-5) bolted out to leads of 17-6 after one quarter and 30-7 at the break in posting the nonleague victory. Paige Warfel single-handedly outscored Phoenixville with a game-high 26 points.
