Roundup: Aungst lifts Downingtown East past Oxford

BRYN MAWR – Aryah Aungst keyed a balanced scoring effort with 11 points on three triples to carry Downingtown East to a 58-23 romp over Oxford in the consolation game of the HarritonTip-Off Tournament Saturday.

The Cougars (1-1) also got nine points from Laura Ochsner and eight from Paige Warfel while the Hornets, who trailed 20-2 after one period and 30-6 at the half, got six points from Hannah Bahls.

Downingtown West 35, Great Valley 30 (OT) – The Whippets went 5-for-6 at the free throw line and pitched a shutout in the extra session to grab the win at the Great Valley Tip-Off Tournament.

Hannah Supplee finished with 11 points, Meg Camden added 7 and Holly Schnack had 5 for West (2-0), offsetting the game-high 14 points delivered by Ashlyn Smith for the Patriots (0-2).
