Pechin hurls Unionville past Bishop Shanahan

UNIONVILLE  – Unionville scored five runs in the fourth inning, with two scoring on balks, en route to a 5-2 Ches-Mont League triumph over Bishop Shanahan Monday.

Alex Pechin was the prime beneficiary of the crooked number, working six innings and allowing just two runs on five hits while striking out four for the mound victory. Chris Koehler and Eric Takoushian picked up two hits apiece for the Indians (2-2 league,2-3 overall).

For the Eagles, Connor Kerns laced a pair of doubles.
