Oxford records another comeback win behind England

OXFORD – For the second straight week, unbeaten Oxford used a late comeback to secure a 42-35 nonleague victory over Twin Valley Friday night.
Quarterback Chandler England capped a strong performance with a two-yard touchdown run with 50 seconds left to seal the deal at the end of a 73-yard drive that helped reverse a 35-34 deficit in the final 3 minutes.
England, who threw for 281 yards and two touchdowns and ran for two more scores (12 carries, 71 yards), helped the Hornets survive a fourth-and-eight play early in the final thrust by hitting Brandon Deshieds (10 catches, 144 yards, TD) for the first down. Deshields later sealed the deal with an interception on the Raiders final possession.
England hit 24 of 33 passes for 281 yards while sophomore running back Tim Faber, filling in for the injured Brandon Holz, contributed to the prolific attack (460 total yards) with 101 yards and two TDs rushing on 19 carries.
