Octorara, Coatesville stay perfect; D-West’s Warren hits 1,000

ATGLEN  – Christian Ray led a trio of double-figure scorers with a game-high 20 points as unbeaten Octorara registered a 60-36 win over Unionville in Ches-Mont League American Division action Tuesday night.
Jackson Ray added 13 points and Dominick London chipped in with 10 for the Braves (4-0, 11-0), who led 13-5 after one quarter and 29-17 at the break. For the Indians (1-4), Kyle Goodier netted a team-high 8 points.

Coatesville 65, Bishop Shanahan 45 – The unbeaten Red Raiders (4-0, 11-0) took no prisoners in the Ches-Mont National demolition of the Eagles (3-2, 7-4) as Justus Martinez stuffed the stat sheet with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks.
Coatesville, which also got strong shooting efforts from Rome Boyer (13 points, 3 triples), Dalton Donovan (11, 3 treys) and Trent Hugan (9, 2 treys), were never seriously challenged in snapping Shanahan’s 7-game winning streak.
For the Eagles, who fell behind 12-5 after one quarter and 31-12 at the break, Kevin Dodds led the way with 11 points.

Downingtown West 71, Henderson 45 – Josh Warren had 16 points to reach 1,000 for his career as the Whippets (4-0, 11-1) posted their 1oth straight victory with the Ches-Mont National romp.
Penn recruit Ryan Betley, who hit the 1,000 mark earlier this season, had 23 points with 5 triples and Dom Guerrera chipped in with 10 for D-West, which set the tone by outscoring the Warriors 24-10 in the opening quarter.
For the Warriors (0-4, 1-11), Archer Rymiszewski had 17 points and Adrien Piel added 13.

Great Valley 60, Kennett 42 – Will Buzan soared for 25 points and Andrew Gal had 11 with three triples to power the Patriots (3-1) to the Ches-Mont American conquest. For the Blue Demons (1-4), Matt Kelly totaled 16 points and Connor McGlone added 10.

Downingtown East 55, West Chester East 46 – The Cougars (2-3 league) got 13 points apiece from Jaret Cooper and Ryan Cahill in recording the Ches-Mont National decision. For the Vikings (1-3), Milaj Singletary-Thomas (16 points), Kyle Smith (14) and Reggie Loper (12) led a three-pronged attack.

The visiting Vanguards (2-2), who never recovered after falling behind 29-22 at the break, were led by Kyle Ryan with 13 points and Ryan Hall with 12.
