Mulhern leads Henderson to Ches-Mont girls cross country championship

KENNETT SQUARE – Henderson freshman Jenna Mulhern placed first in 18:32.20 as the Warriors ended Unionville’s reign by capturing the team title at the Ches-Mont League girls cross country championships Monday at Unionville.

Henderson, which also got top finishes from seniors Courtney Alexander (3rd) and Courtney Kitchen (5th), totaled 43 points to finish ahead of second-place Unionville (79 points). The Indians were paced by freshman Sarah Coates (6th) and junior Marcella Krautzel (9th).

West Chester East placed third, led by junior Allyson Clarke (2nd) and sophomore Michaela Schiele (10th).

Others in the top 10 included Downingtown West sophomore Aliza Thir (4th), Coatesville senior Sammie Miller (7th) and Oxford sophomore Taj Lanier (8th).
