Miller, Shanahan take Oxford deep; Posner, Beebe lead Downingtown West

Bishop Shanahan 14, Oxford 4 – Shannon Miller surpassed 900 career strikeouts and triggered a long ball assault with a home run as the Eagles notched the Ches-Mont League crossover win Wednesday.
The Eagles went yard six times, getting two home runs apiece from Alexa Peterson and Emily Sano while Hannah Keiper and Miller also went deep for Shanahan.
Shannon Martin drove in pair of runs for Oxford off Miller, who had 11 punchouts on the day to run here career total to 902 since her freshman season in 2016.
 
Downingtown West 9, Unionville 7 – Taylor Posner tripled and drove home three runs while Natalie Beebe struck out 12 while picking up the mound win to boost the Whippets.
For Unionville, losing pitcher Sydney Horan had a double, homer and six RBI and Lucy Brucker went 3-4 with a double.
Kennett 7, Sun Valley 0 – Genevieve Ebaugh and Amber Kahrs combined on a one-hitter with 13 strikeouts to pace the Blue Demons, who got a 4-for-4 outing with three runs from Ebaugh and two hits each from Ainsley Albert and Hannah Slicer. Alayna Lloyd spoiled the no-hit bit with a single for the Vanguards.

Avon Grove 9, WC Rustin 2 – Olivia Kunitsky drove in five runs with a single, double and home run to propel the Red Devils, who also got three combined RBI and an extra-base hit apiece from Taylor Morris, Megan Kristman, Bri McKeown and Maddie Grablewski. For the Golden Knights, Mallory Hardwick went 2-3 with a double.
