McLaurin, Kennett girls rule Ches-Mont American multi-school meet

MALVERN – Olivia McLaurin placed first in the 300 intermediate and 100 high hurdles as the Kennett girls stole the show in a Ches-Mont League American Division open meet at Great Valley Wednesday.

Other individual winners for the Blue Demons included Scarlet Morgan (400), Rachel Hyzny (3,200) and Meredith Krieger (pole vault).

Rustin had three gold medalists – Gabbi Hoffmann (200), Zhayria Washington (shot put), Bella Ridgell (discus) – while host Great Valley’s Stephanie Getz (100) and Emily Matthews (800) and Oxford’s Taj Lanier (1,600) and Sydney Pearson (javelin) also placed first.

Other winners included Unionville’s Alayna Lopapa (high jump) and Sun Valley’s Haweh Kwaidah (long jump).
