Kennett boys clinch first Ches-Mont American title; Perucki propels West Chester East

Kennett 114, Oxford 52 – The Blue Demons clinched the first Ches-Mont League American Division boys swimming championship in program history with the romp over the undermanned Hornets Wednesday.
Grabbing individual victories for the Blue Demons were Liam Simmons (200 free), Sean Perrone (diving), Nathan Ober (100 fly) and Brennen Kohl (10 breaststroke).
First-place finishers for Oxford included Michael Fazio (100 back, 50 free), Ryan Topmiller (100 free) and Liam Roark (200 IM), while Roark, Fazio, Topmiller and ohn. Rogers also combined to win the 200 medley and 400 free relays.

West Chester East 97, Henderson 89 – JP Perucki touched first in the 50 free and 100 breast to set the pace in the Ches-Mont National win for the Vikings, who also got first-place finishes from AJ Avagliano (200 IM), Matt Sivo (100 fly) and Phil Leander (100 free). For the Warriors, PJ Cronauer doubled in the 200 and 500 freestyle events, Will Merrill placed first in diving and Tie Manuel took the 100 back.
