Hockenberry shoots Unionville past West Chester East in OT

Unionville 62, West Chester East 58, OT – Wyatt Hockenberry scored 7 of his 19 points in overtime to lift the Indians to victory in the Ches-Mont League boys basketball Final 4 semifinals Saturday afternoon at Oxford.
Hockenberry’s heroics erased a strong comeback bid by the Vikings (National #2), who had forced the extra session with a 13-6 edge in the fourth quarter. Andrew Carr deposited a game-high 20 points, Tym Richardson chipped in with 10 and Gibby Trowery added 8 on a pair of three-balls for WC East (18-5).
The victory sends Unionville (16-7) into the championship game Tuesday against National champion Coatesville (22-1), which rallied past Rustin 60-50 in the other semi at Oxford Saturday.
Drew Lenkaitis netted 15 points, Logan Shanahan added 10 and Bo Furey-Bastian contributed 9 to supplement the Unionville effort at the offensive end.
