Hewes helps Unionville rally by Coatesville; Lincoln’s PK boosts Avon Grove

Unionville 4, Coatesville 1 – The Indians overcame an early 1-0 deficit with four unanswered strikes – including a pair of goals from Michael Hewes – en route to the Ches-Mont League crossover win Thursday. Garrett Pinkston (assist) and Grady Farrell excelled at the defensive end for Unionville, which got a combined six saves from keepers Alex Dolce and Jack Murray.

Avon Grove 2, Sun Valley 1, OT – Ben Lincoln connected on a penalty kick at the 5:34 mark of the first overtime to help the Red Devils in their comeback Ches-Mont win over the Vanguards, who had drawn first blood when Emmanuel Otsyina scored in the fourth minute. Avon Grove forced the extra session when Jackson Muller found the back of the net in the 57th minute. Avon Grove keeper Matt Cordell (3 saves) was also instrumental in the win by stopping a point-blank Sun Valley shot late in the second half.

Kennett 2, Rustin 0 – Luke Nall scored off an Alex Lopez assist in the first half and Christian Zavala added an insurance strike late in the second half to boost the Red Demons.
 
West Chester East 2, Henderson 2 – The Vikings got goals from Owen Van Dyke and Ben Delaney to counter the strikes of Jack Cotellesse and Owen Martin for the Warriors in the Ches-Mont National standoff between the crosstown rivals.
 
Downingtown East 2, Oxford 0 – The Cougars used a shutdown defensive effort to record the Ches-Mont crossover win.
