Henderson, Rustin tune up for Final Four with wins

Henderson 62, Avon Grove 42 – The Warriors (10-0 league, 22-0) completed their perfect run through the regular season with the Ches-Mont League National Division romp, keyed by Grace Ferguson (26 points, 9 rebounds), Adrienne Smith (9 rebounds) and Maddie DePrisco (5 assists) Thursday night.
Jamie Perkins and Kennedy Hawkins finished with 10 points each to pace the Red Devils (2-10, 5-17).
Henderson meets Oxford in the semifinal round of the Ches-Mont Final Four Tournament Saturday (3 pm) at West Chester East, followed by Rustin-Downingtown East at 4:30 pm.

Rustin 40, Oxford 31 – Maggie O’Hare netted a game-high 17 points in the Ches-Mont American conquest for the Golden Knights, who finished the regular season a perfect 10-0 in the league and 19-3 overall.
Playing without leading scorer Miranda Porretta (finger injury), the Hornets (7-3, 11-9) were outscored 13-0 in the third quarter to fall behind by an insurmountable 32-15 count.
Anna Hampshire scored 12 points to pace Oxford, which draws National champion Henderson in the Ches-Mont Final Four semifinals at West Chester East Saturday (3 pm). Rustin meets Downingtown East in the nightcap at 4:30.
