Henderson rules Octorara Duals; Downingtown West settles for silver

ATGLEN – Ches-Mont League team champion Henderson continued its impressive early season performance by running the table at the Octorara Duals Saturday, posting a 5-0 record that culminated with a 39-32 victory over New Oxford in the Championship Round.
Sammy McMonagle, Killian Delaney, Luke Phayre, Koh Bauman and Gavin Range all registered perfect 5-0 slates on the day for the unbeaten Warriors (9-0), whose other wins came over Hatboro-Horsham (59-18), Exeter (57-17), Pottstown (66-9) and host Octorara (55-24).
Unionville was 1-4 at Octorara with its lone win coming over Schuylkill Valley 62-12 amid losses to Perkiomen Valley (42-30), New Oxford (42-25), Archbishop Ryan (47-28) and Octorara (58-15). Tyler Mousaw (182) and Elijah Lyons (285) were both 5-0 on the day with four pins apiece for the Indians (2-9), who also got 4-1 performances from Jacob Lehman (138) and Dominic Claclas (126).

Rock Yard Duals (CR North)
Downingtown West finishedin second place at 2-1 at the 8-team event, topping Neshaminy 38-36 and Methacton 48-25 while dropping a 44-23 decision to Spring-Ford in the championship match.
Posting perfect 3-0 slates on the day for the Whippets (3-2) were Dominic Findora (106/113), Maximus Hale (170), Joe Shafer (195, 2 falls) and Pat Cusack (220, 2 falls, major). Findora and Hale both ran the gamut in their wins with each recording a pin, technical fall and major decision along the way.
 
Matsplosion Duals (Franklin & Marshall College)
Coatesville went 2-3 at the 6-school meet Sunday with wins over Pennridge (59-16) and Executive Education Academy (72-6) and losses to Owen J. Roberts (63-17), Wissahickon (46-30) and eventual team champion Malvern Prep (64-3). Malvern Prep handled Wissahickon 56-18 to secure the title.
Ayden Geter finished a perfect 5-0 with two falls to pace Coatesville (3-4), which also got 4-1 marks from Elizia Juan Lavalais (4 falls) at 106 and Nathan Lucier (16-2 this season) at 113. Posting 3-2 records for the Red Raiders were Nathan Meyer (152) and Matt Evans (160).
 
Rage in the Cage (Garnet Valley)
Keanu Manuel (106), Lukas Richie (138), Spencer Uggla (170), Jack Sheerer (182), Zach Aceto (220) and Zach Sharaf (285) all finished 3-0 to help Downingtown East take fifth place in the 8-team event. with a 2-1 mark. D-East (5-3) lost to Interboro 38-25 in the quarterfinal round between wins over Central Bucks East 45-31 and Rustin 36-35.
Rustin went 1-2 at Garnet Valley, falling to D-East 36-35 and Wilson 42-28 sandwiched around a 51-25 triumph over Chichester. Jimmy King (113) and Josh Viarengo (126/132) finished with perfect 3-0 slates to key the Golden Knights’ effort.

Great Valley Invitational
The Patriots fell to Conestoga 42-21 in the championship match of the 8-school dual meet tournament at Great Valley after posting wins over Harriton 69-7 and Academy Park 63-9. Recording 3-0 slates on the day for the Patriots were Tim Dyer (3 falls at 285), Jacob Mingus (2 falls at 106), Andrew DiSanto (170) and Ethan Seeley (195/220).  Seeley, a two-time Regional qualifier with a 15-0 record including 10 pins this season, is just two wins away from the coveted 100 career victories.
 
West Chester East 54, Plymouth Whitemarsh 23 – Andrew DiBernardo collected the 100th win of his career with a pin at 170 in the Vikings’ nonleague victory Saturday. Also picking up pins for WC East (4-1) against PW were Andrew Luke (120), Corey Celenza (126), Brenden Bottavio (132), Jack Warner (138) and Ethan Golden (160).
 
Twin Valley Raider Duals
Oxford went 4-1 at the 10-school event with wins over Pottsgrove (50-24), Kutztown (66-17), Kennett (49-15) and Twin Valley (51-12) as Cooper Johnson (126), Brandon Sheffield (145), Will Johnson (182, 3 falls) and Sam Blevins (285) each won all five of their bouts. Posting 4-1 slates for the Hornets, whose only loss was to Daniel Boone (39-22), were Kevin Quin (120) and Nate Rodriguez.
Trent Kochersperger (126/132) and Kyle Lentz (160) both went 3-0 with two pins each as Kennett (3-4) went 2-1 at Twin Valley with wins over Pottsgrove (42-40) and Kutztown (37-36) coupled with the 49-15 loss to Oxford.
