Henderson overcomes Avon Grove in wild affair; Shanahan, Kennett post wins

Henderson 17, Avon Grove 15 – The Warriors held a 10-2 lead after the first inning, but needed six runs in the bottom of the sixth to overcome a 15-11 deficit and secure the Ches-Mont League National Division win Thursday.
Casey Caufield was 2-4 with four RBI and four runs scored for Henderson, which also got three RBI from Eddie Smink and multiple-hit games from Brendan Gray, Logan Conduit, Owen McCarthy, Eric Angle, Smink and Caufield.
For the Red Devils, who lashed 19 hits, Andrew Nole and Nick Sciotto drove in three runs apiece and Riley Davis went 3-5 with three runs scored.
The wild affair featured 37 combined hits, 10 errors (five on each side) and nine combined pitchers – including six for Avon Grove.

Bishop Shanahan 10, Coatesville 9, 9 innings – Matt Bertolami launched a sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to lift the Eagles, who got two hits apiece from Anthony Bertolami, Kenny Kunzman (two doubles, two RBI) and Derek Gibbs (two runs scored).
For the Red Raiders, RK Rickabaugh went 2-3 with a double and Tyler Cazille drove in three runs with a pair of hits.
