Bishop Shanahan 3, Avon Grove 0, 9 innings – Cecilia Grahn slammed a walk-off three-run homer with two outs in the ninth inning and Devon Miller struck out 22 over 9 dominating innings to lead the Warriors to the Ches-Mont League National Division win Thursday.
Grahn also came through with a pivotal defensive play, throwing out a potential Red Devils’ base stealer at second base for the final out of the eighth inning.

Coatesville 9, Downingtown East 6 – Kayla Bock drove in five runs with a pair of home runs and Natalie Florschutz also went deep twice and had three RBI to power the Red Raiders to the Ches-Mont National victory. Grace McKelvey, Stephanie Jacoby and Nicki Sudall all had 2 hits for the Cougars, who got all their runs in their final two at-bats.

West Chester East 9, Haverford High 6 – Paige Olson and Sam Gomez drilled home runs and singles while Amanda Gomez, Kelsey McLaughlin and Kinzie Thompson picked up three hits apiece for the Blue Demons in their nonleague triumph.
Sun Valley 6, Oxford 3 – Winning pitcher Brianna Lawson had three hits including a double, scored two runs and drove home another to pace the Vanguards, who also got solid efforts at the plate from Madison Koons (3 hits, 2 RBI, run) and Grace Keeley (RBI-double) in the Ches-Mont American clash. Lawson limited the Hornets to three runs while striking out three in her fourth straight game in the circle on consecutive days.
