Good keys Downingtown East; Domsohn’s hat trick boosts Shanahan

Downingtown East 2, Downingtown West 1 – Dan Good snapped a 1-1 tie with a second half goal as the Cougars overcame a 1-0 deficit in recording the Ches-Mont League National Division triumph over the Whippets Thursday night.
D-East had drawn even when Zach Delone scored off a Nate McCourt assist, answering a first-half strike by Toby Diaz for D-West.

Bishop Shanahan 6, Oxford 0 – Zane Domsohn recorded a hat trick while Bryce Domsohn and Gunther Holenstein combined for 12 saves and the clean sheet to carry the Eagles to the Ches-Mont victory. Hornets keepers Jared Crawford and Caleb O’Connor came though with seven saves apiece.

West Chester East 1, Kennett 0 – Ben Delaney found the back of the net off a Cormac Dooley pass and the Vikings defense, paced by Luke Albergo, Luke Langalante, Brendan Mertan and Michael Ulsilton, did the rest in the Ches-Mont shutout win over the Blue Demons.
 
Unionville 1, Avon Grove 1 – Levi Morrell’s goal with 9:00 left in the second half for the Red Devils answered Unionville striker Kyle Ketterer’s goal in the 62nd minute and both defenses took over from there in the Ches-Mont standoff. CJ Dixon finished with 12 saves for Avon Grove while his counterpart, Unionville’s Alex Dolce, make 8 stops.

Rustin 3, Sun Valley 1 – Dimitri Makris scored in the first half while Matty Scoffone and John Park connected after the break to propel the Golden Knights past the Vanguards. Also for Rustin, Bryce Pew collected two assists and Mohamed Hendawy chipped in with a helper.
