Girls lax wrap: Brennan, Fanelli lead Downingtown East by Shanahan

Downingtown East 12, Bishop Shanahan 9 – Caroline Brennan and Olivia Fanelli connected for four goals apiece to pace the fast-starting Cougars to the Ches-Mont League National Division win Wednesday.
Ava Irwin was strong in goal with 10 saves for D-East, which bolted out to a 9-4 halftime lead and held on down the stretch. For the Eagles, Monica Manley and Michelle Warren posted hat tricks and Jess Gorr finished with eight saves.

Mina Scott finished with four goals while Emma Malone and Riley Glackin combined for five goals and four assists to pace Unionville. For the Warriors, Olivia Pritchard posted a hat trick and one assist.
