Ferguson, Meredith lift Henderson; West Chester East handles Shanahan

Henderson 64, Coatesville 41 – Grace Ferguson recorded a double-double with 18 rebounds and 11 points and Michaela Meredith led all scorers with 18 points on four three-balls as the Warriors notched the Ches-Mont League National Division win Tuesday night.
Dasani Peoples finished with 17 points to pace the Red Raiders, who were within 10-9 after one quarter before Henderson seized control, going up 30-17 at the break and 49-27 heading into the fourth quarter on the strength of a 39-18 run in the middle periods.

West Chester East 58, Bishop Shanahan 44 – Marissa McDonald (15 points), Lauren Klieber (14), Megan Merten (11) and Olivia McDonald (10) all hit double figures for the Vikings in their Ches-Mont National conquest.
Kathryn Greenhut led all scorers with 20 points for the Eagles, who were within 33-27 at the break before WC East pulled away with a 25-17 edge in the second half.

Unionville 50, Oxford 36 – The Indians went wire-to-wire for the Ches-Mont American victory, keyed by a ferocious defense that forced 18 turnovers and a balanced scoring attack led by Emma Dempsey’s 12 points.
For the Hornets, playing on their home court for the first time since Dec. 18, Cristina Fernandez dropped a game-high 15 points and Anna Hampshire chipped in with 10.

Tessa Liberatoscioli finished with a game-high 17 points for Great Valley, offsetting the combined 23 points scored by Becca Magrone and Grace Plona for the Golden Knights.
