Downingtown East’s Liddie McCook captures PAC title

GILBERTSVILLE – Downingtown East sophomore Liddie McCook fired an even par 70 to capture the Pioneer Athletic Conference girls golf championship Tuesday at Gilbertsville Golf Club.

Coming off the individual title at the Spring-Ford Girls Golf Classic Saturday, McCook finished three shots clear of runner-up Cassidy Gavaghan of Hatboro-Horsham, while Phoenixville’s Grace Simenson was third with a 77.

Other top 15 finishers from the Ches-Mont League were Downingtown West’s Grace Hickey, Lily Byrne, Shea Cabaddu and Caitlin McGrinder; Great Valley’s Liv Juliana and Downingtown East’s Anisha Sonti.

All players qualify for the upcoming District 1 tournament.
