Downingtown East surprises District 3 powerhouse Wilson

Downingtown East 50, Wilson 34 – Andrew King dropped 18 points including 13 in the second half while Tariq Kalim and Dylan Rowe added 10 apiece as the Cougars recorded the impressive nonleague win over the Bulldogs (19-3) Wednesday night.
D-East (12-9) held Wilson, the top-ranked Class 6A team in District 3, to just two points in the second quarter to go up 21-14 at the break and ratcheted up the defensive pressure again in the fourth quarter, allowing just three points in an 11-3 closing surge.
Point guard Andres Mujica also contributed to the victory with his second straight turnover-free outing.
