Downingtown East shoots by Shanahan; McCole’s 32 lifts D-West by West Chester East

Downingtown East 63, Bishop Shanahan 54 – The Cougars recovered from a slow start to post the Ches-Mont League National Division victory Thursday night, keyed by a balanced attack led by Andrew King (14 points), Andres Mujica (12), Dave Owsik (11) and Tariq Kalim (11).
Down 7-0 at the start, D-East closed out the quarter with an 18-4 run and extended the advantage to 33-19 at the break and 51-31 heading into the final frame. For the Eagles, Phil Chenard led all scorers with 17 points and Joe O’Malley chipped in with 14.

Downingtown West 66, West Chester East 44 – Cam McCole poured in 32 points while Will Howard and Naseem Roberson added 12 apiece to power the quick-starting Whippets (4-1 league, 5-5 overall) to the wire-to-wire Ches-Mont National triumph.
For the Vikings  (3-2, 9-2), who were unable to make up the difference after falling behind 16-9 after one quarter and 31-17 at the break, Andrew Carr and Tym Richardson led the way with 14 points each.

Unionville 65, Kennett 36 – The Indians placed three players – Bo Furey-Bastion (17 points), Wyatt Hockenberry (15), Logan Shanahan (12) – in double figures while rolling to the Ches-Mont American win.
Jack Mullen cashed 15 points to pace the Blue Demons, who were unable to recover after falling behind 38-14 on the heels of a 23-2 second quarter run by Unionville.
