Cresta helps Unionville defend home court; West Chester East, Downingtown East roll – updated

Unionville 44, Academy Park 33 – The Indians (5-3) seized control with a tide-turning 22-3 run in the third quarter of the Unionville Holiday Tournament finale Friday night.
The surge turned a 19-17 halftime deficit into a commanding 39-22 lead for Unionville, which was led by Olivia Cresta’s 11 points including 5 in the pivotal third quarter.

West Chester East 51, William Tennent 40 – The Vikings (4-3) advanced to the championship game of the Lady Colonials Holiday Tournament at Plymouth Whitemarsh behind a strong start and balanced attack.
Marissa McDonald scored a game-high 17 points with three treys, Lauren Klieber added 16 and Mackenzie Richardson had 11 with three treys for WC East, which faces host Plymouth Whitemarsh for the tournament title Saturday.
