Coatesville falls despite Chester’s 22, Huston’s 17; Seasock, Jackson lift Sun Valley

CB South 62, Coatesville 53 – Neveyah Chester poured in a game-high 22 points and Sarah Huston added 17 but it wasn’t enough for the Red Raiders (1-2) in their nonleague loss Monday night. 
Coatesville was doomed by a 31-19 deficit in the middle periods after being within 14-13 after one quarter. For the Titans, Alexa Brodie (28 points) and Taylor Hinkle (21) combined for 49 points to lead the way.

Sun Valley 51, Chichester 26 – Abby Seasock scored 17 points with four treys and Sarah Jackson added 15 points to power the slow-starting Vanguards to the nonleague win. Trailing 6-5 entering the second quarter, Sun Valley seized control with a 25-2 blitz that produced an insurmountable 30-8 halftime advantage.

Cardinal O’Hara 41, Bishop Shanahan 21 – The Eagles scuffled at the offensive end, managing just three points in each of the first two quarters, in suffering the nonleague loss. O’Hara freshman guard Amaris Baker drilled four 3-pointers to finish with a game-high 20 points., offsetting the production of Kathryn Greenhut (9 points) and Sammie McCarter (7).
