Clemens, Landis power Coatesville; Kennett, Shanahan earn wins

Coatesville 6, Downingtown West 2 – Phoebe Clemens and Payton Landis blasted home runs, Kayla Bock collected three hits including two doubles, and Nicole Wuertz drove in two runs with a pair of hits to propel the Red Raiders to the Ches-Mont League National Division win Wednesday.
Natalie Florshutz dominated in the circle for Coatesville, allowing just six hits while striking out nine. For the Whippets, Cait Coker was 2-2 with a single and homer.

Kennett 6, Unionville 4 – Shannon Harvey, Hannah Slicer and Ainsley Albert drove in runs for the Blue Demons, who built a 6-2 lead through five innings and held on down the stretch for the Ches-Mont American triumph.
Genevieve Ebaugh pitched four hitless innings for the win, allowing two unearned runs and three walks while striking out nine.
Losing pitcher Sydney Horan, who worked a complete game allowing just two earned runs while scattering five hits, hammered a two-run homer to key the Indians’ attack.
Bishop Shanahan 18, Rustin 6 – The Eagles blew open a 1-0 lead with 10 runs in the fifth inning en route to the Ches-Mont crossover victory.
Devon Miller did it all for Shanahan, racking up a complete-game with 18 strikeouts on the heels of reaching the 1,000-career K mark Tuesday, supporting her own cause at the plate with four hits, including two doubles and a home run, and five RBI.
Emily Sano had three hits and three runs out of the leadoff slot for the Eagles, who also got three RBI from Ava Laughlin and two-RBI outputs from Alexa Peterson, Cecilia Grahn, Megan McAllister and Megan Whitaker.
For the Golden Knights, Morgan Becker and Maddie Fife had two hits each including a double while driving in two runs apiece.

O’Connor had a home run and two RBI for Oxford in support of Maddie Frank, who was solid in the circle with a complete-game, six-hitter that included three strikeouts.
West Chester East 6, Neshaminy 4, 9 innings – Alex Douglass belted a two-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to snap a 4-4 tie and carry the Vikings (13-2) to their sixth straight win in the nonleague clash.
Jess Gomez went the distance for the win, backed by an 11-hit attack that also featured a home run and two RBI from Kayla MacLaughlin and three hits from Kinzie Thompson.
