Caufield, Lucas power Henderson; Kennett’s Lesher blanks Coatesville

Henderson 15, Unionville 4, 6 innings – North Carolina recruit Thomas Caufield drove in five runs with a pair of home runs as the Warriors banged out 11 hits in the Ches-Mont League romp Friday.
Justen Lucas also went deep and collected four RBI for Henderson, which got two hits apiece from Casey Caufield, Brady Bash and Ian Tracy.
Alex Pelegrin launched a solo homer for the Indians.

Avon Grove 9, Great Valley 6 – The Red Devils scored seven runs in the third inning and withstood a late Patriots’ rally to record the Ches-Mont League win.
Ryan Gerenser worked four scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and striking out three for the win while Jack Lincoln, Bryce Carey and Andrew Nole keyed the offense with two hits each.
For the Patriots, Cade Reat and Ryan Giandonato picked up two hits apiece.

Kevin Weigand fired three scoreless innings in relief of Scott Jewett (6 strikeouts) to pick up the victory. Zack Burton drove in a pair of runs and Joe Cestare also picked up an RBI for D-East.
Losing pitcher Jim Yunker belted a pair of doubles and scored the lone Hornets’ run in the first inning on an RBI-single by Hunter Hall.
