Carr, Richardson lift West Chester East by Sun Valley in 2 OTs; Lenkaitis delivers Unionville win

West Chester East 64, Sun Valley 59, 2 OTs – Andrew Carr posted his first double-double of the season with 19 points and 11 rebounds and Tym Richardson led all scorers with 23 points, including a deep three-ball in the second OT to put the Vikings in front to stay, Saturday.
Ben Delaney chipped in with 11 points and three triples for WC East (9-1), the top-ranked District 1-5A school and winners of five straight, offsetting strong offensive showings by Vinny DeAngelo (22 points), Isaac Kennon (17) and Marvin Freeman (11, 3 treys) for the Vanguards (9-3).

Unionville 52, Garnet Valley 50 – Drew Lenkaitis scored with two seconds left as the Indians (8-2) snapped the Jaguars’ five-game winning streak with the narrow nonleague verdict. Lenkaitis collected 14 points and Bo Furey-Bastian cashed 13 to lead Unionville.

Great Valley 51, Springfield (Delco) 25 – Jake Prevost keyed a balanced attack with 10 points, Philip Wellener chipped in with 9 and Josh Burgess, Gavin Frankenheimer and Brendan O’Donnell added 7 each in the nonleague romp for the Patriots (5-5), who posted a 24-2 run in the second and third quarters to pull away from a 16-11 first-quarter lead.

Wilson 65, Downingtown West 54 – The unbeaten Bulldogs (10-0) set the tone with a 21-8 first-quarter edge and held on from there to record the nonleague win over the Whippets (4-5).
Undaunted by the early deficit, D-West would draw as close as 49-42 on Sean Kaiser’s three-pointer with 4:06 left before a 10-3 Wilson run sealed the deal.
Will Howard finished with 19 points while Cam McCole and Anthony Spann added 9 each for D-West, which shot 38 percent (19-50) from the floor in its lowest scoring output of the season.
