Brickus hits 1,000 in Coatesville’s season-ending loss

(3-3) Hempfield 66, (1-5) Coatesville 53 – Coatesville junior guard Jhamir Brickus cashed in 19 points, including the 1,000th of his career, for the Red Raiders (21-7) in their season-ending, opening round loss in the PIAA Class 6A playoffs Saturday at Warwick.

Tyrel Bladen posted a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds while Dapree Bryant chipped in with 11 points for Coatesville, which got as close as 58-53 before Ryan Moffett (29 points, 21-24 FT) hit four straight free throws to help seal the deal.
