Bock, Coatesville take out Henderson; West Chester East’s Jess Gomez fires no-hitter

Coatesville 17, Henderson 4, 5 innings – Kayla Bock drove in five runs with three hits, including her ninth and 10th home runs of the season and Peyton Landis added three hits with two doubles as the Red Raiders (13-7) overcame a slow start to post the Ches-Mont League National Division rout Tuesday.
Natalie Florschutz earned the win in the circle and aided her own cause with a 4-4 effort at the plate while driving in three runs. Also for Coatesville, which won its third straight, Sam Emerson and Nicole Wuertz (3 RBI) had two hits each.
Henderson (5-13) had jumped on top 3-0 on Megan Schmotzer’s two-run homer in the first inning before the Red Raiders bats took over.

West Chester East 11, Unionville 0, 5 innings – Jess Gomez hurled a no-hitter with nine strikeouts against just one walk over five innings, Paige Olson drove in three runs with a pair of hits and Kayla MacLaughlin belted a solo home run as the Vikings extended their winning streak to 11 with the Ches-Mont crossover romp.
WC East, the top-ranked team in District 1-5A, improved to 18-2 overall with the victory.
