Beebe leads Downingtown West by Unionville; Butler, Avon Grove blank Shanahan

Downingtown West 2, Unionville 1 – Natalie Beebe got the job done in the circle and at the plate as the Whippets squeezed out the narrow Ches-Mont League crossover win Wednesday.
Beebe notched the complete game win, allowing just four hits and one earned run while striking out seven and walking none, and helped her own cause with an RBI-single during a two-run first inning that proved to be enough.
Hannah Greider drove in the other D-West run, offsetting a strong showing by the Indians’ Analise Griffiths, who had a double, triple and RBI. Sydney Horan was the hard-luck loser, working all six innings and allowing just five hits and two unearned runs while striking out six and walking one.

Avon Grove 3, Bishop Shanahan 0 – Rachel Butler fired a three-hit shutout with one walk and nine strikeouts to lift the Red Devils to the Ches-Mont National win.
Allyson Wallauer, Sydney Skrzypiec and Olivia Kunitsky picked up two hits apiece and Carly Raymond had the lone RBI for Avon Grove, which got all three of its runs in the fourth inning.
Shanahan wasted a strong effort in the circle from Devon Miller, who struck out 10 in going the distance.

West Chester East 9, Coatesville 6 – The Vikings used a 15-hit attack to overcome a 4-2 deficit, scoring seven runs in their final four at-bats to notch the Ches-Mont National win.
Paige Olson had a double and home run during a 3-for-4 outing and winning pitcher Jess Gomez drove in two runs with a double and single for WC East.
For the Red Raiders, Maggie Kane was 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI and losing pitcher McKenna Sherman added a solo shot during a 2-for-3 effort at the plate.

Henderson 7, Downingtown East 6 – Megan McAfee’s RBI-groundout in the bottom of the sixth inning snapped a 6-6 tie and propelled the Warriors to the Ches-Mont National triumph.
Cameron Trotter and Nicole Capuzzi (double) drove in two runs apiece in support of winning pitcher Madelyn Skinner. For the Cougars, whose four-run first inning was answered by four from Henderson in the bottom of the frame, Ally Meakim drove in four runs.

Rustin 13, Great Valley 3, 6 innings – Nicole Inforzato, Madison Fife, Hope Geissler, Nicole McCarthy, Sami LaRosa and Tiffany Zavitsky all drove in runs during a nine-run explosion in the second inning that carried the Golden Knights to the Ches-Mont American win.
Laura Dainton belted a three-run homer for Rustin, which got four hits including a double from Fife and three hits from LaRosa in support of winning pitcher McCarthy.
Erin Bevec slammed a two-run homer in the fifth inning for the Patriots.

Oxford 11, Sun Valley 2 – The Hornets set the tone with eight runs in the first inning en route to the Ches-Mont American romp.
Gianna Coyle was 3-for-3 with a homer and three RBI while Shannon Martin went 3-for-4 with double, RBI and run to lead Oxford. Shannon Martin scattered 10 hits and allowed no earned runs while going the distance in the circle for the victory.
