Avon Grove’s Carlie Perkins takes first place at Perkiomen Valley Diving Invitational

GRATERFORD – Avon Grove’s Carlie Perkins captured first place in the girls’ division at the Perkiomen Valley Diving Invitational Thursday.

Perkins finished with 483.10 points to outdistance second-place Caroline Turner of Phoenixville (439.40). Other top finishers from the Ches-Mont League at the multi-school event were West Chester Rustin’s Nicole Piper (3rd, 420.90) and Natalie Leonard (4th, 414.65) and Coatesville’s Savannah Madonna (6th, 376.85).

In the boys portion of the event, the top Ches-Mont finishers were Rustin’s  Chris Gallen (3rd, 392.25), Coatesville’s Ryan Hemlock (6th, 339.05) and West Chester East’s Alan Jaramillo (7th, 329.70) and Michael Henry (8th, 328.55). Methacton’s Greg Stimmler and Kevin Roy finished 1-2 among the boys with respective point totals of 463.50 and 445.45.
